Face to face interview tips

Are you currently looking for a job in the care sector where you would like to find out more about what kind of questions will be asked? Face to face interviews can be daunting, so we have compiled a list of tips and question types to prep you for your upcoming interview:

Question types:

  • Personality-based questions – During the interview, we may ask you some personality-based questions, so make sure you’re clear on what qualities you can bring to the role! At Prestige, we’re looking for people who get personal satisfaction from outstanding caregiving, so we want to know what care really means to you.
  • Technical Questions – We may also ask you technical-based questions. Our carers must have an excellent understanding of the importance of GDPR, as well as other safeguarding concerns. Make sure you brush up on all of your technical knowledge relating to care in preparation for your interview.
  • Have final questions ready – At the end of the interview, you may be asked if you have any final questions. This is your chance to question us further to ensure there’s a good cultural fit. During the interview, questions may have arisen about the management structure, induction process or any additional support. We aim to make the interview process as seamless as possible, so don’t be afraid to ask us questions too!

General tips:

  • Maintain good eye contact and body language, first impressions count.
  • Dress appropriately e.g., formal
  • Research the industry and company through the company’s website, and look at social media to get a better idea of company culture. You can give examples during your interview which show the employer you really want the job as you have done your research.
