Pre-screen call

If your application is successful, you’ll have a pre-screen call where we’ll get to know each other better, discuss the role and answer any questions you have.

If you’re successful at pre-screen, the next stage is an interview. This will be a longer call where we’ll determine if you’re a good fit for us and vice versa. We’ll then send you an email with the outcome.

Successful applicants must pass references, training and DBS/PVG checks, confirm their right to work in the UK and be available to start within seven days of training.

What do carers do?

As a professional carer, you will support your client in many ways. Carer jobs involve a wide range of tasks, including supporting day-to-day living, social support, administrative tasks like paying bills and shopping to assisting with personal needs such as washing, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene. Some clients may be living with dementia or other health conditions that require a range of clinical interventions and procedures. As a carer, you will only work with clients whose needs match your skills and training, and we can support you to gain the relevant qualifications and progress in your role.

Do I need any care experience?

In order to join our dedicated care team, we ask that applicants be referenced in care within the last five years. However, if you are new to care, some branches do offer training leading to care certificates, so please contact our recruitment team to learn more.

Are there any opportunities to develop?

If you have career goals and ambitions, we will do our best to help you achieve them. We always try to promote from within, and many of our carers have gone on to other roles within our organisation, such as coordinators or branch managers.

What is the training like?

Our in-depth online training programme will give you all the right tools you need to start a successful care career with Prestige Nursing & Care. Our comprehensive induction training covers subjects such as common health conditions, first aid, medication administration, personal care, people moving and handling and more. We also offer ongoing training and development for those who wish to acquire more qualifications and knowledge.

Do I need a driving licence?

A full clean driving licence is required for some roles, but not all. Prestige Nursing & Care jobs normally state whether a driving licence is required, but if you are unsure then please contact the recruitment team.
