Postoperative Care
Postoperative care is for people that require specialist care and support after an acute illness, injury or hospital stay so that they can rest, recover and rehabilitate.
While returning home after surgery or a hospital stay is often a welcome relief, the recovery process can take days, weeks or even months. Postoperative care at home provides the support you need to rest and recuperate whilst meeting your recovery goals

Our postoperative care is provided in the place you love most – the comfort and familiarity of your own home.
Our professional carers can oversee every aspect of your recovery process from medication and pain management to wound care and day-to-day support at home. With the support of our competent and compassionate carers, you’ll receive the care you need to get back to living the life you always have.
What is Postoperative Care?
Postoperative care is support provided after an acute illness, injury or hospital stay. The postoperative care required is unique to each individual and is based on the type of surgery, the person’s overall health and any specific requirements such as wound care or pain management.
Postoperative care begins immediately after surgery. For serious procedures and lengthy hospital stays, postoperative care begins inpatient and continues after the patient is back home. For outpatient or day surgery, postoperative care can be carried out directly at home.
In either situation, our postoperative care services are available to help you recover as quickly as possible in the safety and comfort of your own home. After you are discharged, we will meet with you and your family to create a highly-personalised care plan designed to meet your recovery needs whilst following any hospital recommendations.
The duration of your postoperative care will be tailored to your recovery needs and recommendations from your medical team. Our care is highly flexible and can be adapted to meet your changing needs with minimal disruption to your life.

Costs of Postoperative Care at Home
The cost of postoperative home care is dependent on the level of care and support you require. The overall cost of our care is determined by the number of visits and frequency of visits to you at home.
