Working with Local Authorities

Prestige Nursing & Care is an established home care provider with 80 years’ experience of delivering high-quality home care services to generations of people across the country.

We are a trusted partner of local authorities up and down the country to whom we provide highly-personalised, compassionate care at home focused on improving overall well-being and quality of life, for all of life.

Whether we are caring for a young child with learning disabilities, or an older person living with reduced mobility or a condition that impacts their ability to live well, working in partnership with you we ensure that the right funded care package is in place, at the right time. We know this enables our clients to continue to live in their own home with all the benefits that this independence brings.

Reliable and responsive care at home

From our network of over 30 locations in England and Scotland, we can put the right care package in place quickly, mostly within 24 hours, working closely with GPs, community services, discharge teams and other healthcare professionals involved in a person’s care.  We provide a fully managed service, which reduces the workload impact on social services teams in managing home care packages.

Our flexible and reliable care at home service can be provided from a 30 minute visit, to as many hours / visits needed throughout the day, one or several days of the week, depending on care and support needs. For those who have complex needs, care can be provided on an hourly basis or up to 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Regulated Service Provider

Our service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England and the Care inspectorate in Scotland, which means you can be assured of high standards of care delivery. We are proud that 96% of our inspected services in England have been rated as providing a ‘Good’ service, with 4% rated ‘Outstanding’ and all our services in Scotland have been awarded a five-star rating.

Our approach to providing funded home care

As an established provider of home care services, we have many years’ experience of working with local authority procurement teams, which means we have a strong understanding of the procurement process and tender requirements.

Our approach to ensuring the highest standards of compliance are reflected in our policies and procedures, which are regularly reviewed to deliver best practice care at home. From recruitment of our carers, to training, to workplace supervision and support you can be assured that we can provide the right care package for your service user that can evolve with their changing needs. We know through our experience that situations change so our local level support and contingency planning ensures we always deliver a safe, responsive and reliable service.

We know how important it is that service users’ holistic needs are met. Our carers will support not only their physical and personal care needs, but are there to provide socialisation, emotional and psychological support. We match the most suitable carers so that interests and backgrounds are aligned as we know this provides a person-centred approach, whilst ensuring a person’s life is enriched and enjoyable. Our carers will support to maintain friendships and social interests, whilst ensuring service users continue to be connected to the things they care about in their local community.

We are proud that our approach to service quality and delivery of person-centred care has seen us reimplemented onto local authority framework agreements in the communities where we provide funded home care.

Unlike other providers, we are able to offer a dedicated team of carers for our care packages, which mean our clients and their families benefit from continuity and consistency of care. We know that this provides much-needed peace of mind and reassurance.
