She leads the Prestige Nursing & Care Gateshead and South Tyneside branch, delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support across a range of services, including domiciliary care, complex care, mental health, dementia, and children’s services.

With extensive leadership experience, Denise is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff development. She works closely with healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure individuals receive safe, compassionate, and tailored support that promotes independence and positive outcomes.

She spent around five years working within the sector before progressing into frontline management, first as a Deputy Manager and then into her current role as Branch Manager.

Throughout her career, Joann has developed strong leadership and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with service users, their families and the wider care team. She takes great pride in her work and is passionate about ensuring quality of care remains at the heart of everything the team does.

Her career has presented many challenges, but these have strengthened her commitment to the role and helped her develop a calm, practical and supportive approach to leadership. Joann has a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safeguarding responsibilities and is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where both the people receiving care and colleagues feel valued.

Outside of work, Joann enjoys going on holiday, spending time with her family and getting out for walks.
