ABOUT US

Prestige Nursing & Care is an established home care provider with a 75-year history of providing high-quality nursing care services to generations of people across the country.

Our heritage is in nursing, with the business founded in 1945 as a nursing agency in Carshalton in Surrey, with the aim of providing nurses and healthcare assistants to the newly founded NHS.

In 1971 the Bruce family acquired the business.  During the years that followed, the family identified the need to offer those with complex needs an alternative to having to spend prolonged periods in a clinical or specialist care setting to get the care they needed.

With their entrepreneurial spirit, they developed Prestige Nursing & Care into a successful provider of home care and complex care services to generations of people that enables them to live safely and happily in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.  Accordingly, the business established itself as a fully regulated service in England and Scotland, offering a comprehensive managed serviced to its clients.

From one branch in Surrey, Prestige Nursing & Care now provides its responsive and reliable service from over 30 locations across the UK offering care to thousands of families who trust Prestige to manage the care of a loved one.  Our home care services delivered by competent and compassionate carers enables people in their later years to live a fulfilled life supporting their day-to-day needs – everything from companionship, socialisation, personal care through to domestic tasks and meal preparation.  Our expert nurse-led care services mean that people with complex care needs can remain at home whether they need hourly care, 24-hour care or live-in care, whilst families have respite reassured that their loved one is receiving the highest quality care.  We ensure all our clients, no matter what their age have an improved quality of life with purpose and meaning, whilst having all the care and support they need that enhances overall well-being.

In 2017 the business was acquired by Sodexo, a leading global provider of care services and facilities management in over 80 countries and many of the original management team have remained with the business, continuing the focus on high-quality, responsive care.

Prestige Nursing & Care is now part of a family of Sodexo home care brands in the UK, including The Good Care Group, Oxford Aunts and Comfort Keepers (Ireland).  Through this leading family of brands, Prestige can offer a comprehensive range of home care services, including award-winning live-in care from The Good Care Group rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission in addition to its established hourly home care offering.  Whether it is a baby born with a degenerative condition, a young child with spina bifida, an adolescent who has acquired a brain injury or an older person living with dementia, through to care of those who need palliative/end-of-life care – we provide the right care at the right time, right at home – for all of life.
