Prestige Nursing & Care Enfield is entering an exciting period of sustainable growth, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated CQC Registered Branch Manager to lead our domiciliary care service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious care professional to take a genuine leadership role in the continued development of our Enfield branch.
Working closely with the Franchise Director and local leadership team, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, quality, compliance, people management and operational performance of the service.
You will also play an important role in developing the branch and building strong relationships with clients, families, professionals and referral partners.
We are looking for someone who can combine excellent care leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, sound operational management and commercial awareness, while ensuring that quality and client outcomes remain at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
As CQC Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the service consistently delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care.
Your responsibilities will include:
CQC, Quality & Governance
- Maintain the Registered Manager responsibilities for the service and act as a key point of contact with CQC.
- Ensure the service complies with relevant legislation, CQC requirements, company policies and best practice.
- Maintain effective systems for care planning, risk assessment, medication management, safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Lead regular audits and ensure that identified actions are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready records.
- Manage complaints, incidents, safeguarding concerns and other quality issues appropriately.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Prepare the service effectively for CQC engagement and inspection.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, motivate and develop the branch team and Field Care Supervisors.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive culture.
- Work closely with recruitment colleagues to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Oversee effective recruitment, induction, supervision, training and staff development.
- Support staff retention and workforce development.
- Ensure staffing capacity and skills remain appropriate for the needs of clients.
- Provide effective leadership, supervision and performance management.
Client & Professional Relationships
- Ensure clients receive safe, personalised and high-quality care.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with clients, families and representatives.
- Respond professionally and promptly to feedback, concerns and complaints.
- Work collaboratively with Local Authorities, NHS and healthcare professionals, Case Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Attend assessments, reviews and client meetings where appropriate.
- Represent Prestige Nursing & Care positively within the local community and professional network.
Operational Management
- Oversee the effective day-to-day operation of the branch.
- Monitor staffing, rostering, care delivery and client requirements.
- Monitor service quality, operational performance and agreed KPIs.
- Ensure operational records, timesheets and relevant documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Work closely with the Franchise Director and leadership team to address operational priorities.
- Provide regular management information and performance updates.
- Participate in the agreed on-call rota.
Sustainable Business Growth
As a growing branch, the Registered Manager will also contribute to the development of the Enfield service.
This will include:
- Developing positive professional and referral relationships.
- Responding to prospective client enquiries.
- Participating in assessments, care consultations and presentations.
- Supporting the development of domiciliary, private, live-in and complex-care services where appropriate.
- Identifying appropriate opportunities for service development.
- Supporting agreed business objectives and growth plans.
- Ensuring that business growth is always achieved responsibly and never compromises care quality, compliance or client outcomes.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced care leader who combines regulatory knowledge with excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
Essential
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager, preferably within domiciliary/home care.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of CQC requirements and adult social care legislation.
- Demonstrable experience of managing care quality, safeguarding, risk and compliance.
- Experience of leading and developing care teams.
- Strong understanding of care planning, medication management and quality assurance.
- Experience managing complaints, incidents and service improvement.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy care environment.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, families, staff and professional stakeholders.
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care / Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing an Adult Care Service, or an equivalent recognised adult social care management qualification – essential/preferred depending on experience.
- Candidates with substantial relevant Registered Manager experience and an appropriate alternative management qualification will also be considered.
- Relevant Level 3 or Level 4 adult social care qualification would be advantageous.
- Relevant degree-level qualification in health, social care, management or a related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential.
Please note: The role requires the successful candidate to demonstrate that they have the appropriate qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the Registered Manager role and meet CQC requirements.
Desirable experience
- Experience managing a private domiciliary care service.
- Experience in complex care and/or live-in care.
- Experience working with Local Authorities, NHS/healthcare professionals or Case Managers.
- Experience successfully developing and growing a care service.
- Experience preparing for and managing CQC inspections.
- Experience managing Field Care Supervisors or other senior care staff.
- Knowledge of digital care planning, rostering and care management systems.
- Experience of developing professional referral networks and new business opportunities.
