Location: Tetbury, Gloucestershire 24/7 Care Package | 2:1 Support | Day & Wake Night Shifts Available

We are seeking compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join a specialist team supporting a gentleman with a spinal cord injury who lives in his own home in Tetbury. He is looking for confident, capable and professional individuals who can provide high-quality support within a complex care environment while respecting his choices, preferences and the way he wishes his care to be delivered. He has full mental capacity and takes an active role in directing his own care, so values a team that is attentive, adaptable and committed to working alongside him. He has a keen interest in gardening so a common interest would be welcomed. Successful candidates will become part of a dedicated 2:1 care team.

Available Shifts

  • Day Shifts: 08:00 – 20:00
  • Wake Night Shifts: 20:00 – 08:00

This is a 2:1 support package, meaning you will work alongside another support worker to provide safe, person-centred care 24 hours a day.

About the Role

You will support with:

  • Personal care and daily living activities
  • Stoma care and catheter management
  • Recognising and responding appropriately to autonomic dysreflexia
  • Medication administration and support
  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • Household tasks including cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe living environment
  • Supporting community access, appointments and social activities
  • Providing companionship while respecting privacy, dignity and choice
  • Accurate record keeping and effective communication with the wider team

About You

  • Strong communication with a positive and proactive approach

Desirable

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries
  • Confident in moving and assisting techniques
  • Experience with stoma care, catheter care and medication administration
  • Knowledge of autonomic dysreflexia and complex care needs
  • Experience working in a care or support setting
  • A full Clean UK driving licence

Full training will be provided for suitable candidates.
