This year we hosted the very first Heart of Homecare awards with our sister companies; The Good Care Group and Oxford Aunts.
This event aims to recognise and celebrate the contribution of our team in going above and beyond in their roles to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that makes a difference in the lives we touch. During the event, we recognise all nominees across the three businesses and announce the winners of the Carer of the Year and Employee of the Year accolades for 2020, as well as the overall winners from each business. The evening was a great success, with over 250 people attending the virtual event and there were over 750 comments of praise, thanks and recognition.
The event started with poignant and emotional messages read out about two Prestige team members, Nathan and Jasver, as well as Maria from The Good Care Group, who sadly passed away in 2020.
Onto the nominees and winners for the Prestige Nursing & Care team. We received many excellent nominations, and it is never easy to select an overall winner, given the dedication and commitment of the Prestige Nursing & Care team. Veronica Charles-Roe from Prestige Nursing & Care in Derby was announced as our Carer of the Year and Steph Campbell, Regional Manager for the East Region was announced as our Employee of the Year. A huge well done to Veronica and Steph, but to all the team who make a difference every day in our clients’ lives.
We were delighted to learn that Steph was then announced as the overall regional winner for Employee of the Year, as selected by sportsman and TV personality, Matt Dawson who is Sodexo Ambassador.
