Prestige Nursing + Care appreciates how important it is to find the right Personal Assistant to make independent living a reality, which is why we put so much thought and effort in our carer selection, training and placement.

Life can be complicated enough without personal difficulties, which is why all the services that Prestige Nursing + Care offer are designed to make the selection and every day practicalities of having a Personal Assistant easy and trouble free.

All our Personal Assistants are;

  • trained to your requirements
  • carefully selected and personally interviewed
  • reference checked
  • matched to individual client preferences and lifestyles

In order to achieve the highest levels of service, for which we are renowned, Prestige Nursing + Care have training courses which all Personal Assistants must attend. These are intensive practical and theory courses and covering areas as diverse food hygiene, fire safety, moving and handling and personal care with specialised training in complex care. All complex care staff undergo mandatory training and if necessary specialist training is provided, matching personnel and skill sets to the package requirements.

Personalised Budgets

What is a Personalised Budget?
A Personalised Budget allows you to control what type of support that meets your personal need, rather than social services wholly deciding what support is best for you,

You will be assessed as to how many hours of support you require each week and will be given an allowance to pay for the support services. The system that allows you to do this is called Self Directed Support.

Why could Self Directed Support be better for you?

You can make choices in:

  • Who will support you and how you will be supported.
  • Control over your support budget.
  • Planning your support package.

How do you get a Personalised Budget?

  • Contact your Social Worker or your local Social Services
  • Discuss and agree with them what your support requirements are.
  • A Care Plan will be written taking into account your own wishes
  • You will be given a number of support hours based upon the plan.
  • An appropriate hourly rate will be allocated to fund the Care Plan. You can also top this up with an added contribution from yourself if you wish.

  • Your local Social Services staff.
  • Community Groups and family.

Who Else Can Help?
Prestige Nursing has trained staff that can help you with free, no obligation information and advice. We can also assist you to manage your Care Plan and budget and act as a broker on your behalf.
