Respite care or relief services
Caring for a loved one at home can be physically and emotionally demanding. At Prestige Nursing + Care we understand that carers themselves will often need additional support in their role of looking after a loved one.
When you need a break from caring, for whatever reason, and for however long, our care assistants will be there to step-in to provide the friendly and professional care and support for you and your loved one. Our respite care support provides you with complete peace of mind and can be scheduled as needed, whether it is to provide family carers time to run errands, go shopping or get some much-needed rest. We offer a full range of home care services to care for your loved one at home.
Support for Family – Care for Carers
Through its respite care services, Prestige Nursing + Care can help you and your family to better manage the stress and toll on your own health that often come with caring for a loved one. With our services, you as the family carer can get a break from caring while ensuring that your loved one is getting the support and care they need.
Although care work can be rewarding and often strengthens bonds within a family, looking after an older family member can be demanding amidst life’s other responsibilities. By using respite care services, you’ll be taking a positive step towards being better able to care for not only your loved one, but also yourself. Family carers and those in their care can benefit from a little time off now and then.
In addition to providing respite care services, Prestige Nursing + Care can help by providing support in other ways, see our Informal Carer Support for further information.
How respite care can help support you
Prestige Nursing + Care’s respite care services provide support for both the individual receiving care and their carer. We provide friendly and professional care at home for the elderly, including loved ones with dementia. We also provide respite care services for those caring for children and adults with special needs.
We provide respite care and support across a range of long-term and complex health and medical conditions, including neurological, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury.
Our respite care programmes can be tailored to suit you and your loved one’s needs from daily visits, including multiple visits a day, to live-in 24-hour care. Together we’ll build a respite care programme that gives you the time out you need.
