Job Title – Senior Credit Controller

Location – Dartford

Hours – Permanent | 22 hours per week – Flexible

Salary – £20 – £25 per hour depending on experience

The Senior Credit Controller will be solely responsible for managing the credit control function for the Dartford branch. In addition, the post holder will undertake data analysis, account reconciliations, reporting, and other routine finance-related activities as part of the role’s wider responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Timely allocation of receipts
• Prompt collection of all due monies
• Minimising any aged debt and creating actions plans where such debt exists
• Reconciling monthly aged debt ensuring any differences are resolved
• Posting the monthly bad debt provision in line with company policy
• Portal management – uploading all invoices to relevant portals in a timely manner
• Provide best in class customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
• Support with the weekly invoice run
• Ensuring that the monthly consolidated invoices are sent out on time
• Work flexibly to meet business deadlines

Supporting duties including but not limited to:

• Support the Internal and external auditors with testing
• Assisting with general accounts duties
• Support with the weekly invoice and member pay run
• Supporting in sending out the monthly consolidated invoices in a timely manner

Accountabilities:

• Maintaining a clean and healthy credit control ledger, ensuring DSO does not exceed 30
• Provision of relevant and reliable management information.
• Maintaining a robust control environment over their area of responsibility, managing the business risk

Person Specification:

• Prior experience of managing a credit control ledger
• Keen and enthusiastic to learn new tasks and grow their understanding of how a finance department operates
• Ability to work under pressure
• A self-starter

Desirable:

• Experience of working in a multi-site environment
• Experience of working in the Care sector
• Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
