2. Introduction & Background
Hope and Kieron’s journey into care started long before they joined Prestige Nursing & Care. Kieron began in construction, but a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes and resulting complications led him to retrain in music production and engineering. After a stint in the music industry, caring for his father brought a deep understanding of what quality care meant—and planted the seed for a more meaningful career.
Hope, meanwhile, had been working in care for years, from elderly residential homes to children’s services. After suffering a traumatic brain injury during an incident at work, she experienced firsthand what it was like to navigate health and social care systems from the other side. Her long recovery was marked by frustration, resilience, and a passion for better care.
Their personal experiences with injury, recovery, and navigating care services shaped their motivation to launch a care business together. “You can’t come into this thinking it’s quick money. You have to care,” Hope explains. “That’s what makes the difference.”

3. Getting Started
Hope and Kieron discovered Prestige Nursing & Care while researching top care franchises online. Many didn’t tick the right boxes—but Prestige Nursing & Care stood out with its focus on complex care and the breadth of services offered. “It wasn’t just domiciliary,” Hope explains. “It was children, adults, nursing support—the full picture.”
Their first contact was with the franchise team just before Christmas, followed by a Discovery Day near their home. They didn’t even make it to the end of the car park before deciding: “This is the one.”
From there, the onboarding process began—filled with contracts, legal guidance, and business setup. They quickly realised how valuable franchising support would be. “You’re not just buying into a franchise—you’re joining a supportive network that shares your values. If you’re serious about making a difference in your community, Prestige Nursing & Care is the place to be.”
4. Building the Foundations
Setting up their branch wasn’t without challenges. One early lesson was the importance of practical prep—like hiring an accountant and solicitor before signing agreements. “Take your time, do your research, and make sure your finances can support delays like CQC registration. It’s better to be overprepared than caught off guard.”
Hope will act as Branch Manager, while Kieron takes the lead on operations and marketing. They’ve already scoped out community engagement plans and begun analysing competitor activity to carve out their own space.
What stood out most for them, however, was the culture they experienced during onboarding. “Meeting everyone during training made us feel truly part of the Prestige Nursing & Care family. We’ve never felt so welcomed walking into a business,” Kieron shares. “We feel like part of something bigger. From the moment we walked into training, we felt welcomed and supported. It’s not just a franchise—it’s a family.”
5. Future Plans & Growth Vision
Hope and Kieron are playing the long game. Their short-term priority is securing CQC registration (expected by late 2025), after which they’ll begin trading fully. In the meantime, they plan to offer unregulated services such as companionship to start building brand presence.
Their one-year goal is to establish strong foundations in domiciliary care. After that, they plan to expand into complex care and, eventually, case management—drawing on Hope’s lived experience with traumatic injury and rehabilitation.
Looking ahead, they’re already thinking about expanding into additional territories by year three and five. “We’re not here to do this halfway,” Kieron says. “We want to grow, but in the right way—with care that genuinely makes a difference.”
6. Advice & Insights
Hope and Kieron’s advice for prospective franchisees is rooted in realism and reflection. They emphasise the importance of financial readiness, especially when navigating uncertain timelines like CQC registration.
They also recommend embracing the community aspect of the business. “Get yourself out there—attend local events, speak to people, hand out leaflets. You have to make your face known if you want to be trusted.”
Another insight they share is the value of partnership: “Being a couple has helped us divide responsibilities and keep things moving. If you’re doing this alone, make sure you build a support system around you.”
And perhaps most importantly, they highlight the human element. “Look after your staff from day one. Ask how they’re doing, check in often, and treat them well. Happy staff make for better care.”
7. Reflections & Closing Thoughts
Though still early in their journey, Hope and Kieron already feel a sense of pride. “We’ve laid the groundwork—set up the business, completed training, built our systems,” they say. “It’s an accomplishment in itself.”
They feel confident in the road ahead, bolstered by the Prestige Nursing & Care network and support. “This isn’t just about starting a business—it’s about building something meaningful,” Hope reflects. “And we’re ready.”
Their story reflects the essence of Prestige Nursing & Care: compassionate, professional care delivered with heart and purpose. With vision, drive, and lived experience guiding them, Hope and Kieron are equipped to become a powerful force in their community—and a proud part of the Prestige Nursing & Care family.
