Our client, a well-established nursing home has a vacancy for a RGN Manager. The home is in an idyllic setting with lovely views. If you are not a driver the home offers free transport from the local stations.

Job overview
Your role will be responsible for providing hands on nursing as well as managing the overall delivery of high quality care to residents of the home. Reporting to and working closely with the Home Manager, you will help to plan and implement innovative health and social projects for the residents. The nursing home has a dynamic approach to its residents, focussing on quality of life, activities and rehabilitation. Continual personal development is encouraged.
Key responsibilities include:
To train and identify training needs of staff members.
To assist in identifying and addressing the health and social needs of all residents.
Administer and order medicines as required and within the Homes Policy & Procedure.
Continuously evaluate the quality of care given.
Using your leadership skills to manage, motivate and support RGNs and Health Care Assistants.
Regularly assess the needs of residents in consultation with the resident, their relatives and the care team.
Engage in and direct care planning and the implementation of care plans.
To use your clear verbal and written communication skills with regard to instructions, care plans, reports and record keeping.
Devise and oversee activities program.
Take responsibility for the smooth running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
To contribute to decision making for the home, working in consultation with the Home Manager to ensure the best outcome for all involved.
Requirements: NMC registered and eligible to work in the UK. |
