More info Our client expects workers to give their personal best and strive for continuous improvement to ensure the highest standards of care and service are delivered to all customers.The main requirements of the Registered Nurse are:To be responsible for the well-being of residents within the care home, ensuring that their physical, emotional and social needs are met, whilst helping them to achieve their full capabilities To ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home in accordance with the policies of the company and the registering authority guidelinesPrincipal accountabilities and activitiesTo act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional ConductTo assess the individual needs of residents and ensure that they receive the highest standards of holistic care and attentionTo participate fully in the overall care of residents as per the care planTo give guidance and training to other staff and to provide clinical support as requiredTo be involved with residents’ activities both in and out of the care home and encourage leisure pursuits accordinglyTo assist in maintaining safe levels of care, monitoring standards of care and ensuring safe practiceTo assist in the maintenance of accurate records in accordance with registration and legal requirementsTo advise the GP of any concern regarding residents and keep them informed of their residents’ conditionTo help deploy staff efficiently in relation of duties to be coveredTo be responsible for the safe administration of drugs in accordance with company policyTo supervise closely all duties involved with seriously ill residentsTo assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to their Care Services Health & Safety and Welfare policies and proceduresDuty to whistleblow if witness bad practice or harm to a resident within the care homeDuty to inform the Home Manager if NMC commences investigation into practiceCarry out appraisals of staff, identify training needs to meet IIP programmeQualifications, training and experienceENB 998 and/or ENB 941First level registrationExcellent communication skillsAbility to motivate and delegate effectivelyEnvironmentAll workers should bear in mind the overall objectives of the care home, namely that residents will be encouraged to maintain independence and choice in a homely environment which promotes excellent customer relationships.This job description is intended to give the Registered Nurse an appreciation of the role and envisage the range of duties.
