Dementia and Alzheimer’s

Prestige Nursing provides a specialist live-in service to individuals who suffer from Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. This specialist dementia care service offers people a chance to be cared for in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

Dementia is a degenerative disorder with the loss (usually gradual) of mental abilities such as thinking, remembering, and reasoning. There are many different types of dementia, each with their own causes, but the most common is Alzheimer’s disease. The signs and symptoms of dementia often include loss of memory, confusion, and changes in personality, mood and behaviour. Live-in care is an ideal option for individuals as it removes confusion that can occur when someone is being cared for in unfamiliar surroundings such as a care home. We provide one to one support that allows individuals and their families to receive the most appropriate care and support for their needs. Our specialist Dementia service aims to provide care and support similar to that of the National Dementia Strategy : Department of Health - Social care which aims to provide improved quality of care to individuals who suffer from Dementia.

Our team of highly qualified nurses and care workers are committed to providing and developing best practises within dementia services and offer the highest quality of care.
